Concept: Finding the right flow

I led the team through ideation to find the right scenario to bring the desired efficiency to the user journey.

In order to invent and simplify we asked:

How might we expedite the purchasing process?

How might we facilitate the order at time of purchase?

How might we build on the common experience for our users?

Design: Interactions & Prototyping

I felt a vital part of the unique experience was encouraging adding the same item to the cart multiple times because the menu was limited.

The results of many iterations was a satisfying interaction that is easy to tap interaction for adding items.

User testing found the simplicity of option 2- eased the check out process and completed the task within 55 seconds (with credit card details saved).

Insights

Consumers would spend $20 or more if line wait times were cut in half.

Servers learn an average of 2–4 complicated Point-of Sale systems for various employers.

Companies spend 22% of concession sales revenue on direct labor costs.

45% of consumer abandoned lines at least once this year.

Now there’s B-line

Early flows and wireframes were sketched through rapid prototyping during team meetings.  I chose to work with Origami to prototype the flow and UI animations.

Design Team:

I led the UX/ UI design of the consumer app and the interaction between the consumer and bar top app (left). I collaborated closely with a Digital Designer who led brand development, logo and established brand style guide.
