AI Ethical Researcher
Defining current and emerging use cases to define an AI ethical framework and what do they mean for different user types and journeys.
As a design facilatator I led my startup team to develop an AI ethical framework. During the workshops we asked:
- How might ML model design and implementation cause disproportionate harm? What happens when things go wrong? What principles and guidelines need to be in place?
- How might we ensure AI is fair and does not make decisions on bias in data or training?
- How might we usher in responsible innovation so the
organization proactively evaluate how they
can design and use Ai technology that is aligned to their mission?
Throughout the process we identified key areas to address our findings on the organizational journey of rolling out an AI. From problem definition, reviewing data, building the model and integrating the AI into the practice.
Our goal is to begin to scale to establish common standards and norms for ethical AI to help solve problems in small organizations and nonprofits .
Design System Advocate
Performing on the Spark Design Team at Rocket Mortgage, as a Senior User Experience Designer I create growth programs for an optimized seamless experiences for client and internal teams.
Design Principles are a way to create a shared vision and standard for brand experiences. I led my team to develop our internal governance asking:
- How can design principles be used in every day processes?
- What are questions can teams ask to make internal design decisions the lead to brand consistency and still encourage purposeful disruption?
I believe Design Systems can foster innovation allowing UX Designers to solve new business goals instead of rehashing solved problems already in the product suite.
